Playground Entertainment : ウィキペディア英語版 | Playground Entertainment Playground Entertainment is a television, film and theatre production company with offices in New York and London, founded in 2012 by Colin Callender former President of HBO Films. ==Television== The company has produced over 41 hours of television since inception. Series include the Golden Globe and Emmy nominated miniseries The White Queen and Dancing On The Edge both for BBC and Starz, the Golden Globe nominated limited BBC/Starz series The Missing, Dracula on NBC, and Wolf Hall, an Emmy-nominated six-part miniseries adaptation for BBC and Masterpiece of Hilary Mantel’s Booker prize winning novels Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies. In March 2015, Playground announced the start of production on The Dresser, a television adaptation of Ronald Harwood’s classic play starring Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins for Starz and the BBC. Playground is currently developing adaptations of Howards End and Dangerous Liaisons for the BBC. The company has also optioned The Kills, a political conspiracy thriller novel by Richard House, and is currently developing it as a series for Starz and the BBC. Additionally for Starz, Playground is developing Storyville, a drama series set in New Orleans during the turn of the 20th century based on an original idea by writer/director George C. Wolfe.
